Mishnas Olam was founded by Rabbi Boruch Dovid Silver shlita, a veteran student of the Mir Yeshiva and a chavrusa (study partner)
for over a decade of Rabbi Carlebach, shlita, a member of the yeshiva’s hanhalah. Rabbi Silver is an accomplished talmid
chacham who delivers an early morning daf yomi lecture and is one of the heads of the Shas chaburah learning program, a brilliant
program that encourages students to study large amounts of material and retain it by following a methodical system of review.
Rabbi Silver is a prominent personality in his own community and is also known as the brother of Rabbi Yitzchok Silver (the author
of the Code of Jewish Conduct and other books) and Rabbi Shimon Silver (the rav of the Young Israel of Great Pittsburgh and the author
of the weekly Internet publication Halochoscope).
The avreichim of Mishnas Olam are a hand-picked group of prominent Torah scholars with whom Rabbi Silver is personally acquainted. These erudite scholars dedicate themselves to their studies with the utmost diligence, while Rabbi Silver himself closely supervises their activities, ensuring that the entire Shas is completed on the sponsor’s selected date.
